Baby Nursery by Homestratospere.com
As I sit in the hospital waiting for the doctor to see me, I decided to take my mind off from the not so interesting visit and do something creative to prepare for my little one’s arrival. Yes, if you read my previous post where I had mentioned that this holiday season there will be no mulled wine for me, was because I am about to welcome a new life very soon. So, I thought to myself why not relax and pen down all the ideas I have gathered to decorate a nursery (I really hope that my ideas make your job easier). I mean that there was some clarity but I wasn’t sure about the colour combination, theme etc., for my baby’s nursery. And trust me, it was very confusing to begin with. But after doing some research and talking to my family, it made sense for me to take one step at a time instead of doing the entire nursery in one go. And guess what? My husband and I decided to paint the walls ( Yipeee! It’s my favourite thing to relax and give all the instructions once in a while)
And I found various ways to make that wall look absolutely gorgeous for you and your little one in easy and simple steps. You can choose to colour a simple one tone colour or make it colourful by adding decals and wall art. Checkout some options that mesmerised me and choose the one you feel is close to what your heart wants. So, shall we begin painting those walls blue, pink, yellow, grey or multicolour?.
Before we start, here are some tips to keep in mind
You don’t need colours that are gender specific. Play around with different colours and patterns.
Listen to your heart. Sit with your partner and shortlist some options before you start working on it. You will love this quality time with your partner before all the sleepless nights come into action.
Make it a baby safe nursery. It is recommended that you pick paints with zero VOC (volatile organic compounds). Basically, to understand this heavy term in an easy way is that pick up paint from a good brand with no toxins labelled on it. (See, I had no clue about this, and my baby is making me smarter, already!)
And, you don’t need to spend a lot on those walls. You can always mix and match your ideas with DIY to make it budget friendly ( I guess, that’s whats on my mind too )
Now, let me show you some trending ideas and I will definitely share a post soon about my husband’s first attempt at painting our baby’s nursery.
